This is a cut and paste of a widely circulated 'article' that is all over the 'net. As it stands now this page does not have a category specified, so is in limbo. ==Blocking of IPs==

You may have noticed a large number of recently blocked IPs. I'm sure you are aware that if the Recent changes are viewed using the ''enhanced recent changes'' (in 'my preferences'/''Recent changes''), the list of blocked IPs is compacted into an expandable tab so it doesn't take up a large amount of space. These IPs were found on various article's discussion pages (mainly, some have also been found in the history of the actual article page). The IPs belonged to spammers that had their content removed, but the IPs were not blocked by a previous admin. In some cases this resulted in numerous reposted spam. Because these occurred some time ago, this may be closing the stable door after the horse has bolted, but my thoughts were if I'm there anyway I would block them. Cobalt should have been suspended multiple times for his method of treating members on HR.com, he was not. Cobalt would edit out his inflammatory posts. The 'edit' time limit was shortened by Jon. Who complained the loudest?  Cobalt327.

The wiki is clear, via the text beneath the posting box: ''"If you do not want your writing to be edited mercilessly and redistributed at will, then do not submit it here.You are also promising us that you wrote this yourself, or copied it from a public domain or similar free resource. Do not submit copyrighted work without permission!"''. AFAIK, copyright law has limited recognition of "gimme-backsies". Once you release something into the public domain, or the Creative Commons license that we use, (as long as you are legally entitled to license it accordingly in the first place!), it's very difficult to retract (though not technically impossible, see [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Golan_v._Holder Golan v. Holder]). Not really an issue in this case, but, in the future, if you come across a user who is demanding a ''significant'' deletion, you likely don't need to comply, especially as their contributions may be intermingled with the contributions of other editors, and too difficult to disentangle. In some situations, you may encounter users who, simply out of spite, demand that all of their contributions be deleted. I felt in this particular case that the content that was requested to be removed could be deleted w/o causing any problems w/the continuity of the article as a whole, since it had already been removed from the article itself. That's mainly why I made the decision to delete as requested. Primarily on the T-350 Rebuild Tech article.  Cobalt altered the T-350 Rebuild thread name. This cancels links Crosley has in place on sites. Cobalt adds incorrect information or fotos. Crosley corrects. Cobalts corrects Crosley edits, Crosley not happy. Cobalt adds non rebuild tech stuff.  Crosley removes it. Cobalt 327 not(unknown) happy?  Crosley does not care. Cobalt327 may not care either.

Since 11-17-12 there has been a relatively large number of new user accounts created. Googling the various screen names shows many to be randomly joining many different forums. Maybe spambots? If so maybe a character recognition prompt at sign up would help. But in any event, just wanted to let you know that this was happening for whatever reason.

Crosley edited out old discussion. Crosley was trying to move on. The article by Jake is so diluted in the current article. Jakes article was a performance build and incomplete. I modified the article to a generic T-350 rebuild. Crosley thought that was the point of a Wiki. A constant update - improvement of the article.

On a daily basis I have been removing a large amount of spam and blocking the users. I took a short break (approximately 60 hours) from deleting the spam here at the CC wiki, when I came back there were over 200 deletions and an additional 180 users to be blocked that needed to be done. This took several hours. Since I am not in a position to implement any procedures to prevent spam from entering the wiki, I am requesting that something more be done to prevent it as my time is better spent on other pursuits (both here and elsewhere).--[[User:Cobalt327|Cobalt327]] 20:36, 22 November 2013 (MST)

When Crosley jumped on the internet in late 1996 (what little existed) ...  Crosley had the foolish idea I could stop or slow down the incorrect information on the web on the subject of automatic transmissions.  With people like Cobalt327 that regurgitate any information on all subjects, the cycle will continue forever.  Dont mistake my words here for a blanket statement that  Cobalt327 is a complete dumb ass, I am sure he is not an unmitigated dumb ass.
