Talk:Header design

I agree with your observation about primary tube size.

I was wondering if perhaps someone out there knows WHERE to get 1 1/2" long tube headers that will fit a 350 V8 in the common full size 71 to 95 Chevy Van?

"Headers By Ed" in Minneapolis makes these.

[edit] location

I live in central ND. Where can i find someone to build headers that work near here?

[edit] Primary/collector tube diameters

Very interesting article, lots of good info!

I was just wondering if someone could maybe expand more on how to choose the correct primary and collector sizes. There are some good examples made, and definitely a obvious trend of "smaller is usually best" showing up, but no real discussion on how to select for your setup. I.E. what if you really did have a high (maybe 400-500) hp engine, etc, what would it take then?
