| + | New coach at Richmond is a Philadelphia story,chaussure tn<br><br>In town for his first Atlantic Ten media day as the first year head men's basketball coach at Richmond, Chris Mooney met friends for breakfast on Market Street and didn't have trouble navigating the streets.<br><br>The last time Mooney, 33, coached in this area, the graduate of Archbishop Ryan High School and Princeton University was at Beaver College, now Arcadia University.<br><br>Since then,nike tn, his career has been on an upward spiral. He joined Joe Scott's staff at Air Force, helped the team reach its first NCAA tournament in 42 years,chaussure nike air max, and then succeeded Scott as head coach, going 18 12 in his first year.<br><br>When Richmond came calling, things happened quickly.<br><br>As Mooney remembers it, Richmond coach Jerry Wainwright took the DePaul job on a Thursday. Mooney flew to Washington for a meeting on Tuesday. Air Force is in the Mountain West, full of big state schools playing in giant arenas. The Atlantic Ten consists mostly of private schools playing in smaller ones.<br><br>Mooney is going from a team that surprised by contending for titles to one expected to do it.<br><br>"It's very similar in terms of quality,outlet burberry," Mooney said of the conferences. "Both are probably always vying for that sixth or seventh best conference."<br><br>Being close to home wasn't necessarily a factor for Mooney. "It's just a nice addition," he said.<br><br>Along with Mooney,air max tn, St. Louis and Charlotte have joined the A 10. They arrived from Conference USA, so the A 10 has changed from two divisions to one 14 team league.<br><br>In a vote of league head coaches and members of the media, George Washington was the preseason favorite. The Colonials, the conference's lone NCAA tournament team last season, return four starters.<br><br>Charlotte which also played in the 2005 NCAA tournament was picked for second, followed by Temple, Xavier, Dayton, St. Joseph's and Massachusetts.<br><br>Then came Fordham, Rhode Island, La Salle, Richmond, Duquesne, St. Louis and St. Bonaventure.<br><br>The A 10 also announced a 10 player preseason all conference team that consisted of Curtis Withers of Charlotte, Pops Mensah Bonsu and Mike Hall of George Washington, Temple's Mardy Collins, La Salle's Steven Smith,tn requin pas cher, Xavier's Stanley Burrell, Fordham's Bryant Dunston, Rashaun Freeman of Massachusetts,borsa burberry, Duquesne's Bryant McAllister, and Dayton's Monty Scott.<br><br>Second teamers included Dwayne Lee and Chet Stachitas of St. Joe's, and Temple's Mark Tyndale.<br><br>No change on Marshall. That was the word from Temple coach John Chaney on the medical status of center Wayne Marshall, who has been hospitalized three times since June because of dizzy spells, his coach said.<br><br>Marshall isn't practicing, and Chaney said he had no idea when he might return.<br><br>"We've seen every doctor you can think of," Chaney said.
