==TH350 table note rendering==

Crosley:

You edited my comment to read:

<blockquote>'''NOTE 2: ALL V8 style  Lockup transmissions have an input shaft with a polished tip and rubber O ring at the front end of this shaft. This does not apply to the S-10 small design bell housing for 60 degree V6 engine'''</blockquote>

I have NEVER seen a 350 with an S-10 bell housing and I have owned probably in excess of 20,000 TH350s in my life.  Are you sure you are not mixing this up with the TH700-R4 transmission which DID have variations with the S10 bell housing?

If you have an example of an S10 TH350, could you please post a picture for the edification of everyone who reads the article?

Based on my experience, I think the note should read:

<blockquote>'''NOTE 2: ALL lockup transmissions have an input shaft with a polished tip and rubber O-ring at the front end of this shaft.'''</blockquote>

This is still an improvement over my original rendering.

==TH350 12" tail housing (19 April 2010)==

I have reverted the 12" tail housing addition to the TH350 table to the original version for the following reasons:

:1)  All 12" tail housings I have ever seen were used on BPO versions of the TH350 and had a 2" speedo hole.  I know of none that were ever used with any other version of the TH350.  If any were, I would like to know make, model, and year of their use.

:2)  All transmissions using the 12" tail housing were called "TH375B" by General Motors.  None were ever called "TH350."

:3)  All TH375B transmissions were essentially identical to BPO TH350 transmissions except for the output shaft and tail housing.

General Motors also had a transmission that they called the "TH375C" which was just a TH400 with a 27-spline output shaft.  I have no idea why GM had two TH375 transmissions, one based on the TH350 and the other based on the TH400.  Anything to add confusion to an already confusing array of transmissions.

==Weights==

I think it would be good to include some information on gearbox weights. I found the following that can be used as a start.

Weight (pounds):

4l80e- wet 255

4l60e- wet 175

TH400- wet 140

TH350- wet 130

Powerglide- wet 110

:Good idea, I've included it.

:BTW, you can add this or anything else to the article instead of posting it here. There's no problem doing it this way, but I just wanted you to know you can add it yourself if you want.

:PS- Don't forget to sign your entries, instructions at top of the page. Thanks.--[[User:Cobalt327|Cobalt327]] 20:03, 26 November 2012 (MST)
