Rocker assemblies for a Red Ram Dodge can be made to work with some machining, the head bolts are 1/16" farther apart on a DeSoto than a Dodge. Shaft diameter is the same as spread, but DeSoto shafts are longer. Can use sbc Chevy valves spring and retainers, and bush the original guides with brass for the smaller stem, also allows for potentially better air flow. ==Connecting rods== 400 Pontiac rods are exact length and bearings are the same diameter, only have a larger wrist pin so you ca either bush them or get toss pistons with bigger wrist pins for the tall deck.
