==Context==
Context is important. Your car might be in good shape, but if the environment such as the yard or the garage where you are showing the car is dirty, the buyer might consciously or subconsciously judge that you treated your car the same way. Hence, you don't want to just sell the car, you want to sell the IDEA of the car. Think about GI JOE toy commercials. You never see the kids playing with them in a living room. The toy is shown in a jungle environment.

If your intention is to sell the vehicle as quickly as possible, asking a low price might not be the best idea. If priced too low, the buyer may think there is something wrong with the car. There have been instances where a low priced vehicle didn't sell, but when the price was raised, the vehicle did sell.
