I have been told that the way to check this is to clip a wire to the starter and the positive terminal on the battery, look through the small inspection plate and have the starter STOP on the flexiplate around halfway along the Bendix THEN shim it to ensure that it stays in that psotion - can anyopne help? the motor is a '69 Vette rodded in a 32 Ford Model B.
