Does anybody know if these heads are exactly the same as the 1993 and 1994 and higher 4.3l V6 "Vortec" heads?

All the parameters match. The valve sizes 1.94 I vs. 1.50 E, the "ski ramp" swirl on the roof of the intake, the eccentric location of the spark plug hole.

I still have to cc the chambers but it starts to look like these heads are the same. Must be a reason that these engines produce 300 NM torque at only 2'800 rpm in stock trim.

As I'm in the middle of a build it would be great to have that confirmed. --Error 401 15:25, 18 February 2016 (MST)

:The 4.3L Chevy 90 degree V6 heads you're referring to are more closely related to the casting number 14102191 Swirl port SBC heads. --Cobalt327 22:27, 18 February 2016 (MST)
