Kwa-Zulu Natal was created in 1994 when the Zulu homeland of KwaZulu and the Natal Province were merged. This "garden province" of South Africa is located in the southeast of the country and follows a long shoreline beside the Indian Ocean. Kwa-Zulu Natal share borders with three other provinces and the countries of Mozambique, Swaziland and Lesotho. The capital of Kwa-Zulu Natal is Pietermaritzberg and the largest city is Durban. Due to its position on the Indian Ocean, Kwa-Zulu has two ports, one in Durban and the other in Richards Bay. Approximately 40 kilometers from Durban and a one hour drive from Richards Bay, is the little town of Ballito. One of the fastest growing areas on the North Coast of Kwa-Zulu Natal, this once little sleepy, fishing village has exploded onto the property market with a vengeance. The transfer of the Durban Airport to the North Coast has also bought its own commerce and industry. As a result more residential properties were required in the area. The [http://regencydevelopments.co.za/about-us/news-and-articles/item/14-simbithi-property-sought-after.html Simbithi] Eco Estate is situated on the outskirts of Ballito. The Simbithi Eco-Estate was established 10 years ago. It covers approximately 450 hectares of land and there will be approximately 1,750 homes when every property is developed. Sales of property in the Simbithi Eco Estate have far outstripped any other estates in the area. The estate is home to an 18 hole golf course, conference facilities, restaurants and clubhouses. Combine this with stunning views out towards the Indian Ocean and the rolling hills of sugar cane, this estate has a real country feel. The developers have been very careful to only use indigenous plants and trees in order to keep this estate true to the area. All properties have been carefully designed to blend in with the natural landscape. So if you are looking for a property on the North Coast of Kwa-Zulu Natal, the Simbithi Eco Estate is definitely a winner.
