Editing How to wire a 2 wire gm alternator?

I have a chevy 327 engine in my cobalt boat and have a wirine question about my alternator. It has 2 wires coming off,10 gauge red wire and a 12 gauge white wire. It has a 12 gauge red wire looped on alternator. My question is where do i hook up my 10 gauge red wire and 12 gauge white wire? any help is appereciated
