Consider combining Identifying Chevy engines w/Chevy engine casting numbers.

My problem is the suffix, ABT!!!???!!!??? 0601T ABT . Date n where it's made, got it. Just ABT. ?...and NO, I have not read it wrong. It's a 0010 block. The oil pan is my next information getter, a double hump deep sump like a '65 Impala.

Any help.......thank you.

:Not all suffix codes are accounted for in the data banks, so that's one possibility. Another possibility is the "T" is a mis-struck "J", which is the code (ABJ) for a C60 truck SBC 350- and heavy trucks/busses often got 010 4-bolt blocks.

:As for the oil pan, that's anyone's guess- pans can get swapped to blocks they weren't on originally. As long as it fits the chassis I wouldn't care myself but if you want to try to pin it down further,  I'd start by determining whether it uses the thin (early) or thick front seal and go from there.

:FWIW there's a forum at www.hotrodders.com that maybe can help. This is a wiki, and doesn't usually answer questions.--Cobalt327 19:56, 9 July 2015 (MDT)
