branch should be noted and the fuse replaced, the meter will show voltage again and parts of the circuit disconnected until the voltage drops again. When it does that should be your problem area, bad switch, corroded light socket, bare wire or some area of damage that should be obvious. Even if the part appears to look good but has a voltage drain showing replace it or remove it for closer inspection.
