When I originally began compiling links to be added to this article, it seems I may have done with the intention of making this article the one definitive supplement guide. Now that we are actually creating specific inter-related wikis in every category, perhaps some of the links in the "Threads" and "Online Resources" sections of this wiki can be moved to better-suited wikis. This would help reduce the length of this wiki and limit the information to rebuild and tuning only. Thoughts? --LT1Silverhawk 15:23, 21 February 2012 (MST)

:I could see the links under 'Online Sources for Identification and Decoding' on this page being used in the 'Rochester Quadrajet carburetors: Identification and decoding' page, then adding a link to the 'Online Sources for Identification and decoding' page on this page- if that's what you mean. Or are you referring to the subcategories, or ? when you say "inter-related wikis in every category"? Your meaning is probably obvious but I'm still getting up to speed...--Cobalt327 15:59, 21 February 2012 (MST)

::You've got the right idea. Since the Quadrajet category will now have a few articles, the links can be moved to them if applicable. The identification links definitely need to move to the appropriate page. I will also check and see if some are better off posted on the new master article. Thanks. --LT1Silverhawk 13:04, 22 February 2012 (MST)

Service manual link
I added the service manual link under 'Reference', you can format and/or relocate it as needed.--Cobalt327 14:53, 9 March 2012 (MST)

:Thank you for finding and posting that. I will format it. --LT1Silverhawk 09:39, 10 March 2012 (MST)

Additional photos
I found and added some Q-jet related photos at the bottom of the page. I haven't yet taken the time to edit them into the article, but you may work them in any way you see fit. The format is thumb, 300px, left, w/caption- obviously this can be changed to whatever format that's needed.--Cobalt327 23:08, 13 March 2012 (MDT)

:Thanks for the images. I will start working on including them in the article itself. --LT1Silverhawk 18:16, 15 March 2012 (MDT)

Breaking up the article
Wiki warned today that the article is at 31 kb, and that browsers may have trouble with anything larger than 32 kb. It suggested breaking it up into smaller sections. I don't think that is a bad idea. For starters, I think the home-made carb spacers should perhaps have their own page which include a procedures section. That page can then be linked to all other carburetor rebuild pages. Thoughts? --LT1Silverhawk 19:39, 15 March 2012 (MDT)

:I added the spacers to a page named Carb spacers (made from a previous page, Choosing a carb spacer). The Carb spacers page is linked to Engine, Carburetors and Undeveloped articles (until it's fleshed out) categories. Sound OK? Thanks,--Cobalt327 00:23, 16 March 2012 (MDT)

::Thank you. That sounds like a good plan. I will go ahead and a link to it. I was also wondering if we should have a "modifications" section, either in this article or a separate one, that covers how to do things like 90* fuel inlet or adding a spacer and a whatnot for better performance. Thoughts?--LT1Silverhawk 08:47, 16 March 2012 (MDT)

:::That's up to you- but doing an article containing only original material is going to be fairly brief if it's based on what I know about hotrodding the Q-jet. There are some mods I can give you that I don't see in print, but they alone wouldn't constitute an entire article. Definitely three or four sections in an article, though.

:::If you want to, do it the way you think is "best", it can get changed and worked over- kinda like I did to the sub sub Q-jet category I did. Then UN did.lol It's all good. Might try putting "advanced" repair/mods together (bushings, the small piece that fixes a broken accelerator pump arm boss, changing the secondary opening ratio, using an electronic Q-jet for racing (it actually works pretty good), putting slots in the air valve, changing the position of the secondary enrichment orifices, etc, etc). Still couldn't say 100% that would make a separate page, but it'd come damn close IMO. I'll think on this some more and you do the same and between the two of us we'll come up w/something, I'm sure. It's all about synergy, right?--Cobalt327 07:43, 5 April 2012 (MDT)

My most recent additions
You may notice I removed the block quote and credits from a couple passages of mine from the Hotrodders forum that were used here. I did this when I made additions/changes to the original text because it's obviously now different than the original text. It's still original- all from me- but in this case I don't need to be credited directly for the text. I think if it were credited like that, contributors will be too hesitant to edit. That OK?--Cobalt327 07:43, 5 April 2012 (MDT)
