Multi level marketing appears to be both a good and bad thing. By now you probably know what it is. Basically, it is the pyramid structure that Mary Kay operates on. You have a line of people working under you and those people have people working under them. Money is paid to your people and so on until everyone gets a piece of the pie. However, nothing seems to work in that manner. This shows that it would be wise to figure out what is really going on with Mary Kay before you get knee deep into it. Easily the most obvious lie spread by Mary Kay companies everywhere is that they are the newest, easiest way to create financial freedom. In reality, Mary Kay has been around for decades. Mary Kay programs were online already back in the mid-90s, but was relegated to annoying friends and family before that. By now most people have heard about multi level marketing and know to steer clear of it. This is also the primary reason why Mary Kay newbies have such a hard time finding new recruits to join their downlines. They try to make it sound better by saying that it cannot be a Mary Kay pyramid scheme because tangible products are being sold. However, Mary Kay is nothing more than a pyramid scheme. It does not mean that you are not being scammed just because you are selling physical products and not mailing money. The courts had to make a ruling on this because it was so difficult to decipher. You have to sell a minimum of 70 percent to a non distributor. Anytime that the numbers are different, then it is a scam. You will often hear, usually from the people who are trying to recruit you, that Mary Kay is a risk-free business. This is because if you don't sell the product that has been delivered to you, you can always sell it back to the company and get your investment returned to you. When it comes to returning products, a lot of programs ' policies are not easy to decipher in terms of product returns. They have a limited window in which buy backs are allowed. Most times the amount of money spent on the original product is never fully returned. Mary Kay has long been associated with being related to schemes, scams and other unsavory business practices. Yet, the industry still manages to attract more newbies to give it a shot, and so it remains. Those poor people who are dragged into Mary Kay after believing the hype are the ones who lose money, lose time, lose friends and family members, and then lose hope that it's possible to ever make any real money online. Don't become guilty of making this same error with your own online business endeavors.
