===Battery terminals=== [[File:Bad batt clamp term.jpg|thumb|220px|left|Clamp-on replacement battery terminals are to be avoided!]]Do not be tempted to save money by using one (or more) of the cheap, clamp-on style battery cable terminals. Even if they are tight and look fine, all too often they will cause high resistance and can make it seem like the battery is bad, etc. If the terminal fails on a cable there are better terminals that may be used to replace them, or the entire cable can be replaced with a cable having a larger diameter and quality terminals already installed.
A much better option is to use one of the collet type terminals like is now sold by Accel, shown below. They have a much better retention method than the type shown above. [[File:Accel bat term.jpg|thumb|left|450px|Accel 1/0 battery terminals with positive retention]]
Another option is to use an eye terminal sized to the cable, attached to a marine type terminal that has a lug and nut to hold the eye terminal in place. *[http://www.noco-usa.com/pdf/Noco-Catalog-Terminals-Lugs.pdf Noco terminals] *[http://www.summitracing.com/parts/acc-1860 Accel terminals]
