==Making your car more attractive== ===Cleanliness=== Thoroughly clean the inside and the outside of your car. Throw out garbage and vacuum the interior. Clean surfaces from dust and grime with a cleaner like Windex. Armour All will give surfaces a shine for a few days. ===Body and paint=== If there are [[rust]] spots or blisters on the body, don't paint directly over them to "hide" the rust color. It won't hide the problem, and it may lead the potential buyer into thinking that you're the kind of person that might try to hide something else about the car. ===Context=== Context is important. Your car might be in good shape, but if the environment such as the yard or the garage where you are showing the car is a mess, the buyer might consciously or subconsciously judge that you treated your car the same way. Hence, you don't want to just sell the car, you want to sell the IDEA of the car. Think about G.I. Joe toy commercials. You never see the kids playing with them in a living room. The toy is shown in a jungle environment. Clean up the yard. Clean up the garage. ===Price=== If your intention is to sell the vehicle as quickly as possible, asking a low price might not be the best idea. If priced too low, the buyer may think there is something wrong with the car.
