===Kansas=== In Kansas, you must follow the below instructions- which entails a massive amount of paperwork, receipts, inspections, etc. If you have a Kansas titled vehicle, with the title in your name, you can usually just title it as a normal car/truck/motorcycle without a problem, even if it's been upgraded (Different engine, transmission etc.) In this case, there is NO inspection required. Quite naturally, I would suggest you keep any receipts to prove what you've done. Any 'homebuilt' vehicle ( by YOUR definition to the Tag Office) will be assessed and taxed as a new car of the current year; It doesn't matter if you have a '49 Hudson built from salvaged parts, or a 2011 Cadillac frsh off the showroom floor, they will both cost the same to tag & title. *[http://www.ksrevenue.org/dmv-titleused.html Titling a used vehicle] *[http://www.ksrevenue.org/pdf/tr91.pdf Specially Constructed Vehicle Affidavit]
