To do

There's plenty to do at the Crankshaft Coalition Wiki. Here are a few ideas:

Contents

[edit] Start a new article

You can start a new article with as little as one sentence. Choose any hotrodding topic that you like.

As the article develops, other people will add to, edit, and re-format the article.

For ideas, or to start a new article immediately, see Start a new article.

[edit] Upload a picture

Many articles can benefit from additional photos, diagrams, or illustrations. If you have one of the requested photographs (or can easily take it), please upload it to the wiki.

For tips on how to find an image, and request permission to use it, see Finding images.

For tips on how to add an image to an article, see Adding images.

For a list of requested pics, see Pictures needed.

[edit] Add content to an existing article

Most articles could use more content. Either write from your own knowledge, or post a relevant discussion on the Hotrodders Bulletin Board.

  • Add a few words, a sentence, or several paragraphs to an existing article.
  • Add a link to an external article, webpage, forum, or website.
  • Add a new section or sub-heading.

See the list of all articles.

[edit] Clean up an existing article

Most articles can also benefit from improved spelling, grammar, organization, or general clean-up. Stuff you can do:

  • Check spelling.
  • Fix grammar.
  • Organize an article into logical sub-headings.
  • Change first person voice to third-person (removing "I" from articles).

See the list of all articles.

[edit] Start or add to a discussion on an article

Not sure if you want to edit an article, or if you might have a question, or want to get feedback?

Add a comment to the discussion page for an article. Simply click the "discussion" tab at the top of any page, and add your comment.

On discussion pages (unlike main article pages), it's customary to leave your "signature", so people know who made the comment. You can leave your signature by clicking the "signature" button in the wiki editing box (it's the second button from the right), or by typing two dashes followed by four tilde signs, like this: --~~~~.
