What's the technical name for this type of suspension? A suicide front end is a chassis modification where the frame does not extend over the axle
[edit] Why is it called a "suicide" front end
If a spring or some other component breaks the frame can drop to the ground, sometimes digging in and causing a rollover or other type of major crash.

suicide front ends are popular on T buckets, Rat rods and modified or lakesters

In some government jusisdictions this type of modification is not allowed. All welding should be done by a competent person, all parts used should be adequate for the design usage. any used parts should be carefully inspected. the vehicle should be regulary inspected.
