Building a Chevy 250 engine

Building a Chevy 250 engine.
[edit] General
Building an Inline 250 can be tricky, and hard to do. Parts arent as common for the Inline 250 as they are for V8's, as the inline was seen more as a "mom's engine" then a high powered torque monster, which is why there aren't as many parts. Luckily, there are parts out there. However, expect to pay a bit more for an intake and headers.
If built properly, an I6 can chew V8's up all day long. However, this usually requires a cam, dual intake carburetors, head work, headers, and the works.
When building an Inline engine, be careful not to crack your block. The inline engines are prone to cracking if torqued down incorrectly.
