Just launched SpankMyMarketer.com, a site that documents and parodies the Spank My Monkey/Anti-Christ marketing campaign launched on the Hotrodders Bulletin Board to promote a car giveaway at this year's SEMA Show.

Earlier this year, the Hotrodders Bulletin Board was spammed with a promotion for a car giveaway at this year's SEMA Show. The promotional material included a photograph of a couple of guys in women's thong underwear, and a video of a shop owner declaring that he was "The Anti-Christ of the Hot Rod World".

We protested, and, to handle the situation, Corky Coker, the recent Chairman of the Board of SEMA, comes on the Hotrodders Bulletin Board and tries to spin the situation. He fails, and a "mystery" user comes on the board, says that he lives in Colorado (where I live), and makes some veiled "watch your back" type of threats. We find out that Corky Coker and the "mystery" user have the same IP address.

Surprise, surprise, we discover that it's all part of SEMA's attempt to market to the "rat rod" youth markets.

Anyway, SEMA is forced to cancel the giveaway, and the TV networks even drop the "Anti-Christ of the Hot Rod World" from TV.
